Way of Life
This is a small family run kennel, based in the heart of the countryside where all our dogs are part of the family.
Litters will only be bred selectively and only at certain parts of the year when required.
Together as a family we have the best of all worlds and the best of dogs between us. Originally and from a very early age I worked on a daily basis on the farm with Springer Spaniels and I also showed Great Danes as they were always a passion of mine. This culminated many years ago in getting Best in Breed, and it was at this point school and college work took over and there just was not enough time to continually show as I loved to do.
Having come over the past 40 plus years from a background of working and training Springer Spaniels I then started to work and train mainly with Sniffer dogs and German Shepherd Dogs for patrol purposes with Prisons, Police and Security firms, and other Government agencies, but I am now concentrating on the Gun Dog and Sniffer dog owners as well as our excellent lines which produce not only fantastic working dogs, but great family pets which are brilliant with children of all ages.
Having access to over 900 acres of his farmland in North Wales, my partner concentrates on the Gun side of our dogs and he raises, trains and works the Gun dogs.
We do not trial our dogs anymore because we do not have the time these days, but it doesn't stop us enjoying the life of trials when we can.
We do not show our dogs as they are all working strains.
Having mainly retired from work, my dream came true to own and set up my own breeding and genetics programme and this has been working now for the past 14 years.
ALL our dogs are regularly health tested, and any of the dogs who do not meet the required standards of the breed or if any develop behavioural or health problems, they are promptly spayed but still stay here as part of the family and still enjoy to work and play on a daily basis.
Basically, in the dog world, you pay your money and you take your chance. You can never guarantee that what you have, will turn out as you want it to. I have personally found this to my own expense, but dogs here, are never destroyed or re-homed just because they are not perfect.
